Rensselaer County is sponsoring six drug take-back days in September and October to help safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs. County Executive Steve McLaughlin, Sheriff Pat Russo and Chair of the Legislature Mike Stammel announced the effort this week, noting the increase in overdoses in the county. The county has sadly seen more deaths from drug overdoses than deaths from COVID-19.
