Welcome to Center Brunswick Fire Company

The Volunteer Fire Company of Center Brunswick is one of five fire departments serving the Town of Brunswick.  The Town of Brunswick is located in upstate NY, Rensselaer County.  Our fire district is comprised of rural character with a heavily traveled state highway.

It is our mission to provide a comprehensive emergency service designed to enhance our community through fire prevention, public education, and emergency response.  The members of the fire company are dedicated to protecting life, property, and the environment.

Mutual Aid Structure Fire

The Center Brunswick Fire Company was dispatched at approx. 3 am as a special call then 2nd Alarm for a reported structure fire with Brunswick No. 1 Fire Company.  State police reported a fully involved structure on North Lake Avenue.  C-1, C-3, 7-6, 7-7 and U-7 were on scene to assist Brunswick No. 1.  Call ended at approximately 1300 hrs.

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT 6-15-2008
-
On the early morning of June 15th the Center Brunswick Fire Company was dispatched to a Bravo determined vehicle accident for unknown injuries on Tamarac Road.C-1,C-2, C-3, R-7, 7-7 were all on scene. One patient was extricated and transported via Mohawk ambulance. Call ended at 0530.

 
   
   
 
FIRE PREVENTION 5-31-2008

On May 31st the Center Brunswick Fire Company attended a fire prevention day. The event was to help educate people the importance of fire prevention and safety. The event was an extreme success and we thank those that attended.

 
   
   
 
PROM ACCIDENT DRILL WITH STATION 10 AND STATION 21
-
On Friday May 16th members of Eagle Mills, Mountain View and Center Brunswick all attended a prom accident drill to show the students of Tamarac the dangers of drinking and driving. The drill consisted of extricating victims and patient care. The Rensselaer County Sheriff informed the students of the disciplinary actions taken for drunk driving. The drill was extremely successful and we urge students to Make Memories, Not Hearthaches Have a safe Prom Season!

SECOND ALARM STRCUTURE FIRE

On April 30th the Center Brunswick Fire Company was dispatched to a Signal 30 structure fire to assist Eagle Mills FD on Cole Hammer Road. C-1,C-3,7-6 were all on scene to help extinguish the blaze.

 
   
   
 
CAR ACCIDENT TAMARAC ROAD

On April 25th at 2005hrs the Center Brunswick Fire Company was dispatched for a traffic accident in the area of 688 Tamarac Road. Upon C-3's arrival report was one vehicle into a tree and the occupant was out of the vehicle. R-7 arrived and secured the vehicle from any potential hazards. There were no injuries. The call ended at 2045.

 
   
   
 
HELICOPTER LANDING ZONE 3-9-2008

Center Brunswick Fire Company was dispatched at 1645 hrs for mutual aid to Eagle Mills to set up a landing zone. Two helicopters had been requested for a delta traffic accident on NY Route 2. C-1, C-3, 7-1, U-7 were all on scene at landing zone site. Call ended at 1800 hrs.

VEHICLE ROLL OVER 2-16-2008

The Center Brunswick Fire Company was dispatched for a vehicle roll over on Town Office Road at 1905 hours. Upon arrival of Car-1, he found a vehicle on it's side. The occupant was found out of the vehicle with no injuries. Rescue 7 arrived and vehicle was checked for any hazards. Call ended at 2010 hrs.

 
   
   
 
WIRES DOWN 2-13-08

The Center Brunswick Fire Company was dispatched at 0140 hrs for a wires down call on Rt.142. Upon arrival, Car-3 found a car that had severed a pole and removed the electric service wires from two homes. National Grid was contacted for the wires down and Brunswick #1 was dispatched for an odor of electrical burning inside one of the homes. Power was shut off. C1/3/ Rescue 7, 7-7, and 4-4 on scene. Call ended at 0330 hrs.

The Center Brunswick Fire Company was dispatched for a vehicle fire on Oakwood Avenue near the National Grid facility. Car-1 arrived to find a fully involved vehicle fire. 7-7 and 7-1 were on scene to extinguish the fire. Call ended at 1330hrs.
